whats a good driver figure for hunt in the 76 m23 tamiya?

a seated figure of course, and how does one replicate the cloth part that he used to protect his face?

You mean the brown (leather?) "skirt" that hung from the bottom of his helmet, around his neck? Putty, and some imaginative work with a toothpick, to sculpt in natural looking folds.., I guess..?

i know about gf i have almost all of his senna figures but wish he had some figures where they just hold the wheel

JG-

Hunt's helmet is fairly close to the "generic" driver included with many Tamiya kits, so that would be a good start. Here is aa example of this style figure. Using some putty, and an extra figure I was able to give this little Prost figure some feet so he can reach the pedals of his Renault. For the cloth "colar", I would use paper coffee filter material. Cut to size and attach with thin super glue. The thin glue will saturate the paper, making it clothlike. When it hardens it can be painted.

is that the one with the seat back molded into him that you removed like the williams and ferrari f189 or is that the figure thats in the lotus martini kits?

This is the same one that comes with the Martini Lotus. I used a "spare" driver to extend the legs, then added shoes from the 1:20 pit crew.
