Studio27 1/20 Lotus 79, Austria GP'78
Studio27 1/20 Lotus 79, Austria GP'78
Look what came in today's mail. Got this off of evil bay for a bargain. Studio 27 Lotus 79, Austria GP '78, 1/20 scale, full detail metal kit. Nice castings in metal, that includes a clean slick body. Turned aluminum parts, 2 PE frets, plumbing wire and decals. Instructions are not as precise as others, but still shows how to assemble. I did find on the web this was mfg'd by MFH! Not a lot to be found on the web about this kit.
But looks to be a good kit and a nice rep can be built from it. Any input would be much
appreciated. Have several kits already under way. But this is going to be a future build.

I got this kit when it first came out, but being a very slow builder I never got around to it before the Tamiya and Hasagawa kits arrived. Since I enjoy working with plastic this is one I doubt that I’ll ever get to, but it is a very nice kit and is very prototypical in how it goes together.
I suggest that you find a copy of issue 103, Feb/Mar 2004 Tamiya Magazine. Great article by Eric Evain on building this kit.

Care to post some pics of it? I want to see how it compares to the Hasegawa or Tamiya kits

The post from Orso will give you a great idea for what comes in the kit and build. As for a comparison to Tamiya, besides being all metal.cesar418 wrote:Care to post some pics of it? I want to see how it compares to the Hasegawa or Tamiya kits
You get pretty much all the Studio27 goodies one would want to add to the Tamiya or Hasegawa kits. Heck, just get all of them !
Thanks for your interest.

Out freaking standing Orso. Thanks for the link. If you enlarge the photos, a English description of the steps being displayed is there to read. Wow, this builds into a really nice representation of this sleek sexy lady. Really glad I pulled the trigger on this one.Orso wrote:I knew that I had seen the S27 kit built somewhere and now I found it: http://perso.numericable.fr/~erievain/l ... _diary.htm
Again, thank you Bjorn.
Cheers
