I'm working on my Tamiya Lotus 79B kit replicating Mario's car at South Africa. Anyone ever add a proper blister to their model and want to share how they did it? I can't find a good photo of the 1/12th scale MFH Lotus 79B. Was the blister added to the engine cover?

I started on it using Magic Sculp 2k putty.

The hole was present in 1978 but not every time. Behind it there seems to be the throttle linkage.
In the 1979 cars, I did not see any.

I have in my notes (https://www.f1m.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=14664) that the hole appeared on Mario's car from the Spanish GP and on Ronnie's car as late as the Dutch GP.
For the 1979 season there were the blister instead. (It is sad. Since my post with the blisters in the work, no further work has been done on the cars.)

I sat down and looked at pictures of 1919 cars and beginning to think that I have been fooled by restored cars again. My blisters were made with the pic of the 79/3 cowl on the previous page and the conversion kit as well as it has the same shape on the blister.
Now looking at pictures I get a feeling that the blister was much flatter. It doesn't look so round in the pictures, almost invisible sometimes. So perhaps it is a good thing that I didn't do any build since 2016 on the cars
