Do you really think MFH is going to drill all those rivet holes (on every kit) when they don't drill any of the holes for construction? Just give us the indentation of where to drill to act as a centering guide and that will allow the crazy ones to take it a step further. The Mini Delta didn't come drilled did it?

I've got the kit, the instructions show no adding of rivets

To me there is no rivet detail, just holes or indentations where rivets are supposed to be; I haven't checked all the WM bags yet, so remains to be determined

Yes Minidleta kit comes with "pre drilled" locating holes on which you need to glue the P/E rivets. These rivets have a special shape with something like a dome in the middle. Look at the pictures, they are spot on.

The reason why Mini delta did not provide pop rivets is that you can break your drill, which will happen if you need to drill 850 holes of 0,3mm. Which makes sense. Another reason Mimidelta uses p/e rivets is that pop rivets are also very expensive.

98% of the rivets on the body are very small even in 1/12 scale. The way I would attack this kit is fill in all the rivet pits that are molded in the body and use Archer rivet strips for the rivets.

Minidelta rivets are 0,35mm in diameter so that in reality approx 4mm

Could someone with the Minidelta kit send an image of the p/e rivets?

Thanks,

Joe.

Mini Delta says they will sell their rivets separately for the Hiro kit if someone wants them. Contact Mini Delta for pricing.

No, they only offer the drilled holes like on an aircraft kit(of a much smaller scale). Contact Mini Delta. The price for their rivet sets is very reasonable.

Here is a link showing photos of the Mini Delta rivets and also the Mini Delta nose next to the Hiro nose. Remember #0846 had changed a lot between the Sebring 1966 race and Daytona 1967 race but the Hiro nose does look more generic P4 rather than a particular car.
