Is the mesh to go on top of funnels
I'll be stocking some of the alu shocks & rims, but not the rest. Prefer the studio27 stuff like PE & alu funnels that will become available.
Sets (both Acustion & st27) to be released somewhere in june.

I think I'll wait and see what Hobby Design, KA models, or Studio 27 will do. I've learned my lessons. Never rush to build a kit. There has been more than one occasion where I built a kit only to have a detail set get released. At least a lot of the aftermarket companies are releasing their product closer to the release so it's not as big an issue than it was almost a decade ago.

Completely OT, but I'm amazed none of the above have offered a resin engine / rear-end for Tamiya's woefully underdone F60.....

Agree the F60 needs a new drivetrain. I'm waiting too.

Back on the 79, did you notice that AST are planning some type of plated or immitation aluminium monocoque. Will be interesting to see that. to be honest, that's the most exciting challenge with this kit for me. Would love to hit it with sheet metal and rivets!!

I'm really waiting for Kosutte gin-san, which is a powder like SnJ that buffs to a chrome-like finish. It would look AWESOME on the 79's chassis. Unfortunately, it's out of stock around the world. Hopefully they'll restock it soon...

Realize this is about the Lotus 79, but the F60 engine is not just underdone, its the wrong size! Too long compared to the same engine in the Fujimi F2007. If you measure it, even with two less cylinders it is the same length as the V10 in the F2000 kit!

Shouldn't the F60 engine be longer then the F2007 V8 because of the kers unit?
