How did you bend the brass sheet for the air scoops?

hmm, if i remember correctly, i just cut out the initial shape and then with a couple of small pliers bent it into form. i have a rounded plier and a flat (normal) one. then sanded out the rough marks from the pliers the best i could. no real method to it, just went at it and got a bit lucky.

should have an update on this build in a matter of days if anyone is still watching.

So am I. I'm building a model of the same car, except mine is a Wills' Finecast "Auto-Kit" kit. I haven't gotten into the engine and suspension detail yet, but there are some interesting differences on the exterior. For one thing, the vents on my carburetor fairing are much smaller, and there's no screen. There's also no horizontal indentation between the upper and lower body.
