This is just to nice a collection of models to ignore. The quality is way above most diecasts I have seen and the price is very low at 25 Euro each. I plan on using them as a base for re detailed display models with the paint a decals being almost 100 % perfect. Only available in Italy or on ebay Italy, this is a special newstand only series made by Hachette. I think we will get atleast 50 Championship cars from this set, maybe more. This along with the FPPM 1/24th resin F1 model kits should make it possible to get almost all the champions by early 2023 in 1/24th scale, maybe all of them if they extend the collection.

Next releases announced for the 1/24th F1 series. The 1999 Mclaren MP4-14 was already announced as is a Williams FW14 but the release dates have been modified. I kind of thought they might do the non champion Hesketh because of the movie and Jordan due to MS. I hope they do a few more older cars.

41: Hesketh 308B James Hunt 1975
42: Mclaren MP4-14 Mika Hakkinen 1999
43: Red Bull RB15 Max Verstappen 2019
44: Jordan 191 Michael Schumacher 1991

Hachette has added 2 more 1/24th F1 diecasts to the collection:

#45 1979 Ferrari 312 T4 1979 champion

#46 1955 Mercedes W196 slipper body short wheelbase 1955 champion.

We are up to number #30 of atleast 60 releases now with the release of the Ferrari 312T 1975 champion. It does have a scoop that needs filling so I have ordered the Indycals set in 1/24th scale. Otherwise the 312T is very nice and with some added work will be a really nice model. For decal replacement when needed you have Indycals and Pattosplace who make most of these cars decals in 1/24th scale.

No doubt they´re a hell of an interesting collection, same way as the WRC ones we some are cheering about.
Surely a decision maker for those starting from scratch (or close to).
Sadly for those of us who took the 1/20th route decades ago there´s no turning back.
But they´re really interesting and open up a great version/modification world of possibilities.
One interesting point is that, considering making molds and resin replicas to make modifications, the stuff needed is less than 60%, so cheaper!

I understand completely. They are nice and cheap and it really will depend on how many they make. They extended the 1/43rd collection they did up to over 200 cars. If they do that with this collection it will be very tempting. What I can't figure out is why these diecasts are so much better than the old 1/24th Revell Germany F1 kits wich I hated. Some of the same mistakes kept happening on the Revell kits with suspension pick ups that required half a tube of filler to the tires that were always nasty. Now Hachette does everything so much better than Revell and they are diecasts... Go figure. I love the 1/24th Rally cars Hachette did and they are talking about a Lemans 1/24th series. This company does the Bellkits also. They know what they are doing.

From reliable sources, next year Hachette will be released a series of all Ferrari Formula 1 in 1/24 (they will be the most important cars making up 60 models).

This will go along with the already started series of 1/24th F1 cars that we are currently at number 31.

I only give this thread to you as informational only. They are doing enough F1 1/24th models to make me happy for a long time so no need to advertise them. These are top quality models, better than alot of kits and can be made into very nice models. I am finishing up the Alfa 158 and Ferrari 312T 1/24th Hachette conversions with new parts I added and they are coming out better than alot of kit models I have seen. I will post them on ferrarichat soon.

Also a rumor that the regular 1/24th F1 champion collection will now be 80 cars instead of 60 cars.

Can the rumored 1/24th Lemans winner collection be far off??

Next two 1/24th F1 announcements... The Williams FW14B wich we already knew about and another Brabham, this time the BT52B.\\

That makes 30 world drivers champions so far with many more coming, not including all the FPPM kits and other brand kits.
