Wonder if they'll think of putting the pictures on a thumb drive. I work in IT and its still requires some digging for me to find a USB DVD drive if I ever need to use a CD.
Just let Matthew know about this and he thought it was a good Idea to convert it to a thumb drive, so it looks like that will happen. For those who are using tablets and other devices that don't have a USB portal, I got a cable off of amazon with a female USB head on one end and a USB-C on the other end. It works fine on my Samsung Tab S5E for flash drives. I got it on amazon for about $7. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FM ... UTF8&psc=1
Awesome!

I'm just wondering why 'number' the sets? They're not collectibles (in theory).
Think it adds more credence that it is limited, and its also is essentially a collectible since its a limited run. If we all only bought models we were going to build immediately I think the model car market would have very different prices!

By the way, it was good to see my old build again!
Awesome build! How did you find the detail set? For example; one of the close-ups of the rims seem to show an offset in the holes between the spokes and a layer that goes on top(don't know the name of it)? Seems like a design/production flaw to me.

On the right, the holes in the spokes and the brass layer on top don't align

Not sure what you are referring to with the alignment. Here is a better photo of the same rim.
Thanks for posting! Now that I see this picture, I think the image from the SMS website was a dryfit or something. In your picture, bolts connecting the spokes to the rim are shown, in the SMS picture they are not there.
Just got the news release from Matthew and the price is much better than I thought it would be. $850. Pre-orders(before April 15th) get 10% off that price plus free domestic shipping. Non-US customers will have to pay whatever international shipping is. $765 plus sales tax delivered is a heck of a price for this.
There have been a lot of laughing comments about the price of Spotmodel, 900€.
The cheapest way, $765 + shipping + customs is higher than this. Anyway it's an absurd price
We’re talking about high quality limited edition super detail kit. Autograph 1/8 F40 or 1/4 Panigale super detail kits are expensive and so are large scale ThunderValleyF1 detail sets.
Totally off topic,
1/6 scale Armortek tank models are expensive too...
What it comes down to - as always - is are you willing to pay that for the parts you get. If you do, it's not absurd. I wouldn't, but I bought other stuff where I can see people thinking the same thing "absurd" - so who am I to judge? Limited edition s also something that triggers people occasionally - guilty as charged, Metal Gear Solid Limited Collectors Edition, however, in this particular case with this particular price I'm thinking the limited run might end up being built to order short of the intended numbers. But then again, I might also be wrong with my guesstimation on the numbers of potential customers.
