Has anyone built this? This is basically the *really* old Tamiya kit, right?

I'm pretty sure this is one of the very first they made. I'm wondering how sophisticated the kit is. Some of the very early 1/12 kits are a bit cartoonish.

I haven't built it yet, but Yes ... it is the same old Tamiya kit with one new sprue for a practice version, new decals and Photoetch.

Hi Grypham: thanks for the heads up on this. Too bod they don't have a shop in BC! How do you get free shipping? When I put it in the cart and enter postal code to the Lower Mainland, shipping comes up as $56...

Hi Rob,

To get the Free shipping option, you have to manually select it from a drop-down list of shipping methods. If you are on the page that comes up after you "add to cart", you will see the arrow for the list just under the word "quote". If you actually proceed to checkout, you will see all the options listed, and again, you manually select the free one. (Canada Post - Expedited).

I agree ... I wish there was a shop in BC. I have been tempted to drive to Edmonton a couple of times.
