It looks like an early pre war Alfa logo more, but not exact. With Hiro it's hard to tell, but Alfa for sure. I would love a 1938 Mille Miglia or Lemans car or P3 if pre war. T33/3 1970 or 1971 would be nice with the Targa car from 1971 being the most important.

Its a Alfa. The carving is of the Biscione, a symbol of the Visconti family of Milan, and also used by Alfa Romeo.

This is an old Alfa logo with the snake vomiting a child (or eating?) So it indicates probably it is something old(ish) like the pictured 1935 racer?

Good appointment, Flemming. The shape of the child shows clearly this is an old car, before 1950. The P3 has a general shape very similar to the 2300 Monza, already produced by Italeri, so the logics would point to a P2 or a Sport, but Mr. Hiro as his own logics. I wish it could be a P2.

The Alfa Romeo P3 as far as pre war open wheel is concerned is rather important. It did beat the German Nazi teams with with Tazio Nuvolari driving on home turf at Nurburgring in 1935. He later joined the Auto Union team as Alfa Romeo did not have the resources to stay competitive, even with Italian government aid.

Yes, MFH posted a picture of a biscione. And yes, Alfa's badge contains a biscione (being Milanese). But what MFH posted is *NOT* an Alfa-specific biscione. In fact, a simple Goole search shows it's from a pretty iconic source: a relief from Milan's central railway station. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ ... r-2007.jpg

In other words, Alfa confirmed... but that's about all. Trying to determine a time period is pointless.

Yes, Alfa's biscione was more detailed from 1910 - 1960, but I think it's a pretty big stretch to decide it has to be from a specific era because of a public sculpture. It'd be like trying to determine a specific Ferrari based on the Baracca family crest.
