I really like the car and it's somewhat different subject for 1/12...
I just wont buy it for the regular price but maybe it will come up cheap someday I might get me one...

+1
Did the Tamiya 1/24 car a few years ago. Quirky choice for 1/12. Hope it sells well.
I also find it interesting that some of their recent releases have been only one decal option when there is obviously room for multiple choices. (This kit, the previous F1-GTR, etc)
I wonder if the cost of printing decals has become prohibitive for the quantity of kits they are making or are they just saving the decal options for future releases?

If that is the case they are probybly in the wrong business since there are printers with amazing quality at great prices...

I prefer the updated 1995 long nose version but a 333SP would be nice. The Scania AERO Racing for Belgium Lemans cars were the best looking of all followed by the Olive Garden cars IMO. Saw them all race and have many kodak slides of them.
I will buy the 1993 155V6TI but I prefer the 1996 Martini cars. The 1993 cars won the championship, the 1996's only had the most victories.
As much as I loved the late eighties-early nineties DTM, a seven hundred dollar model of one the cars from that era is out of my league. I'll stick with the Tamiya 1/24.
I was never a huge fan of the 333SP's, always found them a bit slab-sided, and awkward looking (but they did have a great exhaust note). But for my money the Gianpiero Moretti MOMO cars are the most successful, and obvious versions to model. Won both the Daytona 24 Hours, and Sebring 12 Hours in 1998.
