I'm really not into supercars, especially if they come without sponsor logos
But this one here could change my mind....

Its tough, I like to support new releases, but the last few releases haven't been very interesting to me and I also have a huge backlog. This is in the same boat for me, so I'll just put on my list the next motorsports kit they release I'll preorder.

Doesn’t set my heart on fire but it’ll find it’s way into my collection.

I'll be happier if Tamiya releases the P1 instead. Somehow, no one did the P1 except Airfix in the Logo like kit. We have La Ferrari and Porsche 918 in normal kit forms. The good thing for the Senna kit is that it is with full engine details.
The P1 is a better looking car than the Senna. I already got a Senna in Hotwheels !

Agreed. I still wonder why there isn’t a nice 1/24 plastic kit of the P1. It would look great next to the F1 tooCK wrote:I'll be happier if Tamiya releases the P1 instead. Disapointing, hoped for another racing car like F1, not my cup of tea.
Take a stand!

While McLaren Senna will likely not be an icon car in the future, I think it fits well with other kits in Tamiya's supercar collection, like Enzo, LaFerrari, new NSX, etc.
It also seems to be appealing to younger generations. And Senna's name still seems to be popular in Japan. I also miss P1 kit and would not have chosen McLaren Senna
as my favorite subject. Yet Tamiya has to maximize target audience to make money. And sadly this forum's membership is too small to influence or affect return on
investment from Tamiya's point pf view.
Going to start new thread on the question of why we don't have recent F1 WC cars in plastic. I think it deserves a dedicated topic.

Well look at it at this way, they have the mclaren license again so their previous models could make a comeback. it would be interesting to see if they might re release the mp4/6.
