It has been awhile since I looked at my kit and aftermarket parts but I’m thinking the TVF1 items were PE for the engine and some turned aluminum for the suspension. I do recall the rotors and hubs were very nice. RB Motion items were electrical connections and some fittings. The Top Studio sets will work very nicely with what I already had on hand. I will definitely have to take my time and decide which bits I will use. I do enjoy the planning process. I’m not sure that I’m good at it but I do enjoy it…

Re: Finally FW14B detail set
Thanks GT, great images, you made me revisit my videos and while the outer white angled edge is the same as the kit there is one point in the video that shows the square, flatter in the middle diffuser. Out with the saw and plastic card for me then!!!!!
Would never have spotted that, and I don't think it's a ridiculous conversion. Portugal and on cars will take a LOT of work, totally different shape inside of the rear wheels.

Actually the outer edges of the Silverstone diffuser are the same as the Portuguese version you just can’t see it very well on that picture I posted.

Here is a picture of the outer part of the diffuser from Silverstone onwards, you can’t see the tyre very well but it narrows toward the front part of the rear wheel.

Well that complicated things! Thanks so much for sharing the information.
Re: Finally FW14B detail set
Sixteen pages of discussion of the various aftermarket sets and not one single mention of the chances of Tamiya re-releasing the original kit? Some of us passed on it "back in the day" and won't pay stupid money for one on that awful auction site. LOL.
Seriously - has there ever been even a rumour about the original kit being reissued or is this regarded as impossible due to licensing or other unknown issues?

Re: Finally FW14B detail set
Rubbish, lol: the original kit is just shy of 30 years old mate, loads of people building today never had a chance at this 30 years ago. There's been enough interest in re-issues of old Tamiya 1/12 scale kits to be a pretty good indicator of demand for this one, too.
