Good question. I guess for me it would be clean connections crisp and accurate replicas. Make sure your carbon decals are firmly on and set for at least a few days maybe longer.

Difficult really practice makes perfect

Everyone has a starting point and advice where to begin and all are probably right in their own way but you need to make sure you do your research and be 100 % before you start. Have a plan of attack and don't necessarily start where the manual/guide tells you. Get all your detail up extras and get all your reference material to hand don't miss a trick. I'd read Andy Mathews book or go on his website and look at what he's done. http://www.andymathews.com. It's all in the cleanliness and the finished paintwork. Mostly just enjoy it. Don't be scared to http://alclad2.com/finishes/regular/make a mistake you can always do it again within reason. Look at some of the work these guys do on here it's bloody amazing. Use alclads for your metal finishers and make sure you use gloss based to get that extra shine and authentic look. Above all take your time dude it's not a race. Oh and think outside the box.

Seen people using that aclad stuff before. Highly recommended then?

also this may sound really stupid but how do you stick down wiring neatly?

Years of bloody practice lol. To be honest it's just practice, you get to feel how much you need to cut the length plus I find that using slightly more ridged wire helps it sit closer to its subject. If you look at reference material ie images of wiring looms etc on the cars they are always tied together with something. Hiroboy does quite a few aftermarket cable ties in scale that will help to. I never glue them in place as it makes a bloody mess.

Hope this helps

Burnish is to rub the edge of the tape to prevent any bleed under of the the paint.
In other words make sure the masking tape edges are fully onto the surface so paint will not bleed.
>>>Something else we should talk about is taking care of that air brush. Be sure you clean it and learn how to disassemble it for cleaning.

Jeff - im reading and reading, when i pick the airbrush up i'll be making sure i take it apart and put it back together to know it inside out.

Also burnishing is new to me but obviously extremely important

Paul - this kits gonna cost me a small fortune

:D

Spent 110 on the kit up to now including cig decals. dont mind spending extra on detailing. Especially wiring as it really does give the kit spark so to speak.
