Studio 27 Benetton B186 for 2008 Group Build
As promised while I am waiting for the CF and Blue paint to arrive for the FW26 that I am building, I have taken some pictures of the B186 that I am building for the 2008 Group Build. I have about a month and a hlf to get this thing finished, and I am almost done.
Enjoy........

Good to see the real first Benetton !
Why would you need blue paint for this version ???
I thought you only need to paint it green and white. All the rest is decaling work, isn't it ?

Sorrry I misread your first post...the blue paint is for the FW26.
Anyway...you can put blue paint on the wheels , and red and green

I painted the Front Wing, front suspension, seat, wheels, and inst. panel today. I just finished 1.5 hrs polishing the paint. There are a few "touch up" areas that I will need to do, but I hope to have this one finished by Wednesday.
Enjoy.....

The paint is from "Trial and Error" painting company........
I mixed Tamiya Colors:
X-5, X-14, and X-28 until I got what I felt like was a good match.
It turned out pretty good for me being color blind.

Re: Studio 27 Benetton B186 for 2008 Group Build
I intended to have this one completed today, but the pictures that Jacques sent to me showed me a couple of things that I needed to correct on the paint scheme, and add to on the kit. Tonight I got the seat belts made, and I CF'd the Inst. Panel. I also painted a couple of areas on the body and undertray that needed to be green so that they were accurate. I will have to re-shoot the seat in X-18, and I will tackle the CF on the front and rear wings tomorrow.
Enjoy.....
