Ducati 888 Classic TT 2017 1/12
Hi,
I thought some of you might like this, finding a New use for an old Tamiya Kit
Ducati 888 as raced in the ' 2017 Isle of Man - Classic TT ' by James Hillier, rules of the Classic TT are motorcycles must be at least 20 years since originally competing.
I've been to the Classic TT a few times, Amazing spectacle - mind bending speeds on public roads, it takes a Special kind of discipline (or craziness) to do what those riders do, The 37.73 Mile public road Course used to be part of the what would be called MotoGP W Championship now up to 1976.
A few modifications to the kit: I took the steel front brake discs(rotors) from a Hasegawa YZR500 kit as the Tamiya kit has carbon discs, not 100% accurate but did the job, reshaped the rear seat cowl, front mudguard, brake calipers & locations for larger discs, front fork adjusters, seat and made a rear fog light etc, not much else.
The Oxford Products Ducati 888 2017 Classic TT :
Completed Tamiya Kit :
Beside the 1992 World Superbike C'ship Winner,
I built this kit back in 1995 and the decals had yellowed very bad so it got the
crisp fresh white ones from the above kit applied on top!
Thanks,
Dede.

Very nice looking model. Unusual to see this Ducati not in red) I just got the same one yesterday. But i will build in original red color. Red goes faster
