Matra MS80, MFH, 1/20
Hi,
it's been a while, but it's not that I was lazy, but a MFH kit takes some time. This time, I built the 69 world championship winning car, Jackie Stewarts Matra MS80. In the company I work, sometimes you get a kind of non-cash bonus, and since my boss knows me very well, I got a parcel from Japan...
There is not much to say about the kit, the usual MFH quality - everything fits, maybe with the exception of the cockpit cowling which probably would have to be glued on to be flush on both sides. The only major issue are the decals - they are very brittle, you cannot get them around corners, so don't bother trying to use the white roundels on the side; paint them. I'm a bit scared when I think about the Hippy 917 I have in my stash...
Painted with TS10 and Mr. Super clear on top, almost OOB, except maybe replacing a cable or a rod with slightly better parts from the spare box (e.g. I use pieces of a guitar string to make the springs that hold the exhaust).
Hope you like it.
