The MFH Ferrari GTO kit has many of the internal engine parts as part of the kit. I have just started the build and decided not to use the internal engine parts. Adds to the weight and will never be seen.
I figured out a good use for some of the parts.
I had a Renaissance Ferrari engine kit laying around so I decided to build it up looking like it was a tear down.

Re: 1/12th 250TR Engine
Wowzers Dave, what went wrong? A Ferrari, from Mr. Porsche?
Joking aside, this is awesome. Good thinking, the pistons should "fit", since it's the same basic engine anyway . I'm curious which version of the GTO or rather which car are you going to build - and the more important question - will we get to see a WIP thread?
Actually, this makes me want to break out both the engine from the 250 GTO kit and that Renaissance 250TR engine as I have both. From what I remember, my TR engine kit must have been a late run, as there are quite a few areas, where the casting is faulty. But overall I love it, with the little resin studs for the heads etc.

TY Roman, I do enjoy other makes besides Porsche. I have been a Porsche owner and restorer since 1976. I worked in the auto industry from Jaguar to Mercedes-Benz. Running parts departments.
I will be starting the MFH 1962 250 GTO Version A, very soon. I will start on the wire wheels which will take a long time. Then the rest of the build will be fun.
