Porsche 908/3, 1/12th
Finished up the MFH 908/3 a couple of weeks ago. Have not been able to post as my hard drive crashed. Glad I keep good back-ups and Macs are fairly easy to restore.
I decided to display the model with the body parts suspended by clear plastic dowels. There was so much work on the chassis, that I did not want to hide it.
I am think to do similar display for some of my 917 builds.

I can see why you wanted to display it with the body parts suspended - looks great!

It's always a shocker when you see how fragile those cars were.
There is no safety stuff. Only an engine and a tiny bodywork around it. Wow.
Dave your work is awesome and you did a great job on it.
It's the best decision to keep it open.
Well done!

Pretty sweet deal you got there and it also helps heaps and bounds with the potential fitment of the body . Now do the exploded engine look (as per the 917/30 912 engine in the Porsche museum). YUM!
May I ask what colour you used for the body? TS17?
