Life L190 Paul Ricard 1990
My 1990 French Grand Prix project continues with AMC models Life L190. I hollowed out the 3 intakes and added the roll hoop, and I believe the extra work was worth it. Decals were designed by me and printed by Bedlam. The kit decals were very translucent. These decals were better and very crisp. Paint is Zero with their clear coat. It's not as orange-y as the pics make it look. Some parts like the wing endplates were scratch built to replace the thick white metal parts. In the end, I really rushed the final steps as I just wanted this one done. I still have one or two small things to add. Too much work for a car that didn't even qualify for the race!
I now have 5 cars complete in the setup and livery from the 1990 French GP. I'll decide on the next day or 2 which to tackle next. In the running are the Larousse, Tyrrell, Onyx, and Brabham.

Very nice, probably the only time we'll ever see one of these built. Look forward to your next car, I suggest Brabham...

Nice work, that model looks much faster than the real car ever was

A really rare car!
It's great to see something like that...
As far as I know, the L190 hasn't driven a race either - reliability wasn't really its forte either!

Oh I love those special cars!
I think you should erase those mold lines on the tyres, because that just doesn´t match up your outherwise flawless, perfect finish!

No, they never even survived the pre-qualifying. Best time was some 20 sec behind the pole and worst more than 7 min for a single lap. Maybe that was the shakedownsteinietrabi wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 6:16 pm As far as I know, the L190 hasn't driven a race either
