On The Bench
Hello All,
Spurred on by a previous entry, I want to share what's on the bench for me.
Currently I have started building the S27 Ferrari 550 Maranello LeMans 2005. Prior to this was the Jordan Honda EJ11 and two (2) Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI's.
I've had the Ferrari sitting on the pile for a while now, wanting to build it badly, so now's the time. I've cleaned up the body (removing flash, etc.), scribed the panel lines deeper, drilled all the holes and test fitted with the chassis and side rails. Next step is to wash and clean all the pieces and start priming. Should be a fun car to make and look good next to its street-going brother. It's not F1, but I still have to share with someone......
What do you all have on-going and in the wings these days? I look forward to seeing all of your work.
Chris

Re: On The Bench
I am grateful to Chris Bartholomew for starting this thread as a place to post these images, the WIP section by definition indicates a degree of “progress” but recently this is something that has be lacking while working on the day job 7 days a week, where as “on the bench” seem far more appropriate. Here are some images of three projects that I work on when time permits, all in 1/12 scale and Tamiya based.

Re: On The Bench
Ok !
Right now, I'm finishing a STUDIO 27 MP4/2C full detail kit, that I'm waiting to finish to translate everything in english to put here (it's started on a french forum). Just have to finish the rear wing, the plumbing and little detail... Funny kit but a bit tricky and very blurry instructions....
Also a Sakatsu Panoz 90% complete
A C-6 R badboy scheme with the SMS tranksit; 50% complete
I'm about to start the RED 5 Jaguar R5 (i'll do a WIP, that will change of brand a bit and i haven't seen a build of this brand very often)
I've finished my Hiro Aston DBR9 modena 2007 last week
Then surely the Renault R27, tricky paint sheme and some hro stuff, like the DBR9 gulf, THE RS01 and the 412 T2
This 550 maranello looks very good. nice shape.

Re: On The Bench
hey, nice topic, so let me join.
On my workbench is... workbench itself
Bought mill & lathe: lathe is installed, mill will be lifted on bench any moment now - i'm actually waiting for 2 farmers to come along to give me a hand. Weight = 110kg, so none for me alone! Btw, sorry for mess in picture - don't show it to the wife
Need to work out some more electricity connection points, and this afternoon i'll make cupboard for tooling that came along will mill & lathe. Progress is slow, but there's progress anyway.
@ Hacksaw: yeay... a lola!!!
What race are you building, as those air intakes/hatches on front aren't very common?? Le Mans 67 nr 12? Mmm, will need an aston martin engine though
I figured out about fuel injection for daytona build. As soon as machinery is installed on workbench, 'ill give it a try.
And what is last kit? Surely no tamiya. Some ABC Brianza?

I building my new modeling space at the moment also. pictures will follow. I'm building me two wokbenshes that are 6 meters long together, now I have enough space
Here's a preview of the kitstack....a lot of models are still missing
