Hi Dave,
you are welcome!
It's great to assist a fellow modeler and to see him create a masterpiece.
Your choice of colors looks very good. I will probably end up using the same colors too.
Right now I have David Piper green, Jordan 191 green, and Lotus 102D green available here, so it will be most likely one of those.
Please keep the updates coming. I like that car!

Model looks superb.

I have read that some Zero paints can react with Tamiya plastic, did you have any similar problems or take any precautions?

I have never had a problem and I've been using them for years now. I wash everything thoroughly prior to painting. I prime with Halfords automotive primer (UK) in grey. This seals everything and prevents 'bleed thru' and then follow that up with Halfords primer in white to obtain a blank canvass to start colour application. I wash everything meticulously and allow plenty of drying time between paint applications. I aren't saying it's the best way to do it but it works for me and I can get the results I want.

This is also an excellent result. I also have the kit in my stash and since I saw your two posts this will be my next project. I've always liked this finish, unfortunately my decals have turned yellow over time. I used the zero paint set to paint it. I may be lucky enough to get new decals by the time I start the lotus. I'm glad how things are going for you. So far everything looks very good.

Thanks for the explanation, do you decant the Halfords primer?

No, straight out of the can. Nice gentle build up. Works really well.

That is real good!

One question, how did you mask the head rest to do the dark green? I am hesitating to do it......that is the final part that I am missing...

I just used the Aizu ultra fine masking tape and, with a steady hand, masked to the edge. Not easy to do but the tape does allow you to do it. Once the edge is masked with the fine tape I fill in the rest with 'conventional' Tamiya tape.
I can't speak highly enough off the Aizu tape, I get mine off eBay, it's been a game changer in terms of what I can mask and paint.
Your build is looking really good, be nice to see two of these kits completed in a similar manner.
