Yes, such a schedule is more than sporty and I wouldn't worry about not having made it.
It's great that someone tried it and shares it even if it doesn't work.
The silver decals are the end of such a challenge!!
It might be better to paint here, but that won't work if the paint has to dry well for the masking.
As far as I can see from the photos you did a good job and the decaling looks great.
In any case, it's a nice car. I only have the BAR001...
I'll definitely stay on the ball.
Great thread!

Since there was no longer a rush I decided instead of spraying everything with a flat coat to seal in the deals I cut out circle masks to protect the wheels as they were nicely machined aluminum and I thought they looked nice.

Another problem I encountered was that the curve of the decals for the tires was not right. They were too small so for each decal I had to play with the position to get it to look right.

When I missed the deadline I decided to add an aftermarket racing harness. I used a Scale Motorsports hardware along with the belt material from a leftover Modellers set.
Next item I will read the instructions and decal sheet more thoroughly.
The results did turn out ok even thought I could pick out over half a dozen problems that I lived with just to get things done. It was a fun challenge and I would do it again. On the plus side I did finish a kit.

Other problems.
During my rush I must have glued the gearbox slightly off. This meant the rear wing would be off. So I cut into the mounting point so I could glue the wing straight and centered compared to the undertray.
Something warped between the body and undertray so now the body will not sit flatly on the undertray so out came the super glue accelerant and clamps.
Conclusion
Next item I will read the instructions and decal sheet more thoroughly.
