Engine work is moving ahead, a few areas I’m going to touch up. When you put the engine in and the sidepods in place, you really don’t see much except the top section.

Managed to get the wing on without breaking it, it was already together and I did not want to pull it apart. I sprayed it gloss black, applied the decals and then used Tamiya LP24 semi gloss to tone it down.

Hi Shayne,

The engine and wing look great. The subtle shading on the engine makes it stand out.

Getting close!

Hello Shayne,

Nice work on this old kit,
How did you manage to avoid the silvering with the decal on the rear mat black wing?

Cheers

Thanks guys, it’s slowly edging to the finish.
Franck I sprayed the wing gloss black first and then once decals were applied I used Tamiya LP semi gloss to tone it down.

I couldn’t help but do a quick mock-up just to see how it was looking. I know I may have issues with the engine cover, but we shall see.
