Lotus 97t 1/12 MFH
I've been working on this for 7-8 months, It's been the most challenging MFH kit I've done of the 5 I've built. Not due to kit shortcomings but because I guess I didn't test fit well enough. I think it's coming together well in the end, I'm pretty happy with the result as long as the paint comes together well. Black paint is tough to get perfect.
At this point its almost finished except for some final assembly and a couple weeks of finishing the decals on the body and clear coat, polish, clear coat, polish probably 5 or 6 coats until the decals are buried in the clear with no edge visible.
I really love all the various textures this car has from the matte carbon fiber on the chassis to the black paint and the gloss carbon fiber on the wings, its quite eye catching.

Would really like to see the images but all I can see is a series of question marks.
Is there a permissions issue which is preventing the images to be viewed?
Or perhaps it's just my aging iPad?

Re: Lotus 97t 1/12 MFH
I am contemplating building this kit and am wondering what you used as the "base carbon color"?
Thanks,
Steve

I was surprised to see this thread pop up. I used Alclad Dark aluminum, it's a less bright silver as I didn't want to much contrast between the decal and the base color.
