Tyrrell P34 Swedish GP 1976 Tamiya 1/12

Hi guys, i'm sorry for my poor english at first.

I will try to build a Jody's P34 from '76 Swedish GP. May be not the best race, but the only win of this car

Changed sidepod fasteners


Monocoque in paint


First steps of assembly. Front suspention, added some wiring to the brake and electrical systems. Some bolts and nuts. And a little platform for a left foot






Reduced the thickness of the brake discs and added some wear to the great etched discs. Etched parts are from BestBalsaKits.



The KIT well detailed and puts together well. At least at the beginning.

Hi Guys. Here is some progress in this build. Also noticed some differences between KIT and cars from the real race. May be it'll be interesting for somebody.

Sidepod fasteners


Sidepods shape from front view is more "square", than in the KIT


My version. And, yes, a shape became to "square"(

First I missed the 1st post but I have to say I love the painting of the monocoque!!

For the sidepod I think also it's a little too angular on the outside at the top of the transition.

I have to agree to Thomas, the edge looks a bit too sharp, maybe some more sanding should fix that.
