stubeck wrote: Mon Aug 09, 2021 11:32 am How much work did you have to do on the car to print it? I've always loved the FW25 which is also in F1 2019 and thought of using some of the FW24 decals I have to help with the decals.
A fair bit to be honest, split the mesh into parts, then smoothing each part, then making sure they all fit together. I used a combination of Netfabb, Blender and Meshmixer.

I can get you a preview of the model if you want? unless you're already tackling the project on your own.

After some support removal, and being held in place, the fit is pretty decent.

as feared the rear of the safety cell has warped a bit, so will need some work to get the engine cover to fit properly.

The model details from the game are very good though.

Such an interesting project!
Are you planning to take all little bits of the front wing to paint and glue them separate or just do the best you can with the airbrush in all those small areas?

I think it's large enough to do it all in once piece, so hopefully keeps it a bit more simple.

I've done some more work on cleaning up the parts, removing support nubs etc. I decided to re-print the rear of the floor as the diffuser would be too difficult to do from scratch. I also re-printed the tyres, this time with the wheel rims inside, just for a test, but i'm really happy with how they came out.

Very nice looking and also impressing that this comes out of a game! Surely after some overworking but it turned out great.
Take a stand!

I tested always on the print. So I can adjust it if there are inaccuracies from original to the model! :)

 that's far too sensible! ( I should have done a test I guess!)

How do I miss this build?
Great work so far, always a inspiration how others do the 3d printing stuff. Always something to learn.

Smoothing the game data is a big problem mostly. Still have to learn a lot with my projects.

Keep it updated!
