Re: Footwork FA13 Modellers
Thanks!! Yes when i'm in a "flow," it can go quit fast, have to say i dont use CF decals etc. these things are time consuming and therefore not my style, i like a bit of speed in my builds.. dont know, thats the way i like it.

Re: Footwork FA13 Modellers
Also just worked a bit on the sidepods. Used masking tape to simulate the layers of carbon/honeycomb stepped structure surface. Fixed it with CA and sprayed semi gloss black. After that sprayed some alclad burned metal through a piece of pantyhose (dont tell my wife..) and then sealed it with a bit of clear yellow.

Re: Footwork FA13 Modellers
Excellent work!! plan to add front dampers too?
I still think F1s in 80s and 90s look the best simple line and no crazy little winglets here and there.

Re: Footwork FA13 Modellers
A small update. Made the cockpit and attached tub to the floor and sidepods. Also put the gravel mesh screens in the sidepods and started wiring the engine.
Thanks for looking and wil be continued

Re: Footwork FA13 Modellers
Very nice and clean work Hein, looks great, only the gear box appears a bit overdone with the silver sprinckels. I would go for a wash with gun metal pigments to achieve a scale optik, works much better then painting in my opinion.
Anyway, looking forward to your next update, great modeling!
