1/12th MFH Ferrari 250 GTO
I have started the GTO. I was going to start on the wire wheels and get them out of the way, but needed to stock up on .5mm drill bits. Lots of holes to drill.
As is my norm, I began with the engine. Fairly straight forward. I replaced the kit ignition wire loom with small diameter brass tub drill out to fit the wires. Not tapered, but much easier to tread the wires into.
Next will be the chassis and then onto the wire wheels.

Looking good! this is the one kit in my stash that I keep putting off building because I want my skills to be at a point where it will come out right. I'm getting there.
Keep up the good work!

Nice beginning, looking forward to the next chapter, and really looking forward to how you install the windshield with that rubber gasket, I failed on that part of the build..........

Re: 1/12th MFH Ferrari 250 GTO
Coming along nicely. It would be interesting to see your two 250 engines side by side, GTO vs TR. I will be watching this closely for any - potential - pitfalls and / or tips 'n tricks. Looking great so far.
I fell in love with the GTO in the early 90s when my parents took me to a car exhibition around here. They had loads of cars there, a bunch of them from Nick Mason's collection - among them the crown jewel - a 250 GTO. While I still maintain that the 250 GT SWB competizione is the most beautiful of the berlinettas, the first series of the GTO is still and will always be the unicorn.

This is a TR engine I built many years ago. Same 1/12th scale.
