Coming together nicely, I wanted to see just this, a WIP of this kit.
Look forward to the updates

I am now starting on the body work which is mostly resin. Some tips on what I have learned in past MFH builds. The resin has some sort of coating on it. Maybe release agent. When i visited MHF a few years back I asked their main model builder what he does. He told me he wipes the resin down with acetone. I have tried but still get large fish eyes. I now scrub first using lava soap and then wipe down with acetone. It seems to work well. If I still get a fish eye, I spray it with flat clear. That seems to seal it. All this is done before the final color coat of course.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the resin prep tips. Could you elaborate on the "lava soap" used. The ones I am familiar with are slightly abrasive .... is that the whole idea?

Nice build BTW.

Lava Soap is mildly abrasive. This is a tip a got from Master Modeler and friend Dale King. I use a soft toothbrush and lots of water.

I still think you would need to do a solvent wipe-down (Prep-sol) after the Lava to get rid of the "moisturizers". Also, only handle the body with cotton gloves afterwards. Cheap disposable ones are available. I used to restore classic cars for a living and the last thing you want to do is to touch a body with your bare hand just before you paint. The last thing that should touch the body is a tac rag.

I use acetone for the last wipe. So far it works.
