1/12 Lancia Stratos Montecarlo'77 - Doyusha / Nitto
Hello everyone, after a few months without posting anything I wanted to show you what I am doing lately.
This is a 1/12 Lancia Stratos of the Doyusha / Nitto brand with molds from approximately 1977.
This model is fine for its age and could resemble tamiya models from those years.
But like all models it has simplifications, which, in these scales and, if you want to show interiors and others, become evident.
In my case, the part where more simplifications have been made given the complexity of the real model in that area is the front interior part where the spare wheel, radiators, air intakes, windshield wiper motor, tanks and others are housed (the model de doyusha does not bring the spare wheel because it does not fit in its place and many elements are simply engraved on the plastic). This has led me to redo all this part since I wanted to be able to show the open car.
In the same way, in the rear part, simplifications have also been made and the fenders have been dispensed with. Both the hood and the rear have been textured to imitate fiberglass in these parts (the central part was metallic for safety reasons).
On the other hand, the exterior has been worked to ensure that the parts that can be opened fit correctly. To facilitate adjustments and assembly work, neodymium magnets are used that hold the different parts together as well as allow the doors and hoods to remain closed.
As is usual in my models, the advances are very slow and I am remaking quite a few pieces. In the following posts I will show you some new pieces made in 3d printer.
Thank you very much for your time and do not hesitate to comment anything.

what will be the models without these modellers, that like to change everything to have a real model but in a less scale?
Thanks for sharing it, Edgar!!

Awesome to see this being built here, and at such high fidelity!
I have this kit, and will be watching, so keep up the good work!

Looks good! I am also building one of these. I am hoping to do the 1978 Giro D'Italia winner, but still gathering reference photos at the moment from that event.

Hi Wim, I'm sorry because I'll not be original. Will be the Munari Montecarlo 77 car... I have the safari version model and I've already remade the decals for that version ( gracies Jaume!)
Thx for your interest
