Looks terrific! Such a iconic car, I always liked the later season 006’s like this version. Classic 70’s F1 chassis design theory, low slab sided tub, conning tower cockpit surround, inboard brakes, driver sits between 41 gallons of Elf fuel.

It looks awesome so far! Derek Gardner’s 005-006 series had a unique chassis design with the deep cut-outs on each side of the cockpit to give Jackie, and Francois elbow room to work, but this made it a difficult tub to build. Only four were built, Francois ill-fated 006/3 being a spare tub that was flown over between Mosport, and The Glen, and built up in The Glen’s Kendall Tech Center for his use at the USGP.

Apparently I didn't send off my post yesterday. Wait you have to click submit? D'uh. I should cut back on working two machines at the same time it would seem.

Aaaanyway, wowzers. This thing is beautiful. And is it just me or is it really a shame that that beautiful metal chassis is going to be hidden underneath the bodywork?
Superb! Looking forward to seeing it finished :)
Cheers,
Roman
