Man, that looks awesome. Scary moment with the gear handle, but glad you were able to retrieve it without too much trouble. Between Xmas and non-stop work I haven't touched my BRM since mid Dec. This makes me want to get back to work.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your kind comments guys!
...And sorry for late reply!
@Thomas: Yep! Banjo fittings from Rob, as the bolts/washers/nuts, A/N fittings that will soon appear on the gearbox and rear radiator...
@Celicagt: Ooooh Yeaaaah!... That was a scary moment, a F.....g scary and maddening moment...
But after a good meal, and a delicious glass of Pichon Longueville, all was calm and clear: I had to cut the bathtub!
More soon Mates.

Good evening,
Yep, the green springs are pretty cool!
Well, it's taking shape.
Sorry for the photos, which I just took, in a lighting that could be improved, to say the least.
I finished assembling the transmission, secured the engine to the hull, and attached the gearbox to the engine and tie rods.
The box is detailed (but it's not finished), the clutch hydraulics connected as well as the starter.
The oil fittings are being installed with the high pressure hoses ...
The bodywork elements are positioned correctly with each other; tomorrow I take pictures of the beautiful undressed and maybe on her wheels.

Good evening,
Thank you very much!
So here it is naked and on its wheels and equipped with its exhausts.
the brake lines are installed at the rear as well as at the front.
The oil cooler is installed, complete with new fittings and braided hose.
I will soon have to take care of fixing the 2 windshields, which have been laid blank for the moment.
A serious cleaning step will be necessary beforehand, as will the installation of the yellow stripes and the "Team Lotus" decals.
But it has never been so close to the end.
More soon.

Bonsoir,
New thinner and softer springs built and installed
Various shades sprayed on the exhaust tips, then pastels.
I wanted to depict the « oil sprinkles/splash(?...)» so I let some China ink out for an hour, and sprayed at very low pressure.
Yellow stripes and TEAM LOTUS installed
Thin Alu covers to hide the upper wishbone screw heads.
Vues d’ensemble:
Voilà.

Good evening,
Thank you!
Well there we are ...
It is over.
I can call this one done.
The two windshields are in place, riveted.
The mirrors are painted, polished and installed using a bracket placed from inside the tub.
I varnished the rear scoops and fitted them with the Dzus.
As expected, only the right one is in place.
The photos in daylight will certainly give another aspect to the model: we will see tomorrow.
A small photo with some friends taken from their box for the occasion.
A small comparison between the 3L H16 BRM and the supercharged 8 in line 2.3 liter has Bugatti.
Let's concentrate on the next one.
