The body is complete so far. Now it's time to make some thoughts about the power train.
The cast motor-gearbox unit in the kit is the worst thing I have ever seen. Motor is a bad copy from a Tamiya 312B, that is trimmed to fit under the cowling. The gearbox looks like a freelance chewing gum formed piece.
Motor will be replaced by a Tamiya 312 T. Gearbox is a copy from a MFH 312 PB.

Wow, those kit parts really are bad. Will your copies work? I mean the engine is the same size, but even the reduced part seems a good deal longer than that mangled MG bit.
Loving your work on this one.
Cheers,

The magnesium cast motor support was constructed by styrene sheet and tubes.

You are doing a GREAT JOB. Super work. BUT - I expect to receive the MFH version in a few days - and I am quite sure to get something which can be build out-of-box without having to modify almost all parts to get to a decent result.

I admit that I had the same reflection for a moment, but the difference are about 600 € and the challenge of modeling . So I will go on.

Have to agree, this is not about simply "building" a kit, this is "modeling" which makes it unike and more worthy then a simple build. A one off is much more complex then a one of a few hundreds! You need skills to do such model and patience, much more worthy then anything else.
Keep it going, your doing a great job!
