Small progress of the MG Model Plus beast. If I had known, that MFH will bring the 312 B3 in 1/12, I would never have started this kit, which needs so many time consuming improvements. I#m fighting with myself, if it would be better to put it in the trash can and start the MFH kit.
Here is the finished magnesium cast front bulkhead with the tubular frame for the nose and the mounting point for the lower wishbone.

Resist and build it, still looking awesome! Would be a one off instead of one of a few hundreds
Take a stand!

Yeah. I agree. Stick at it and keep on going. More satisfying to make something beautiful from something that started quite ugly.

Hi Ferrarissimus,
The progress you've shown with your B3 is more than enough reason to continue with it. Just because you began this project before MFH released their version, who can say that your version will not be of a comparable standard once it is finished?
I would look at the MFH kit as a yardstick. Compare your completed version with one of theirs once a built one becomes available. You may end up surpassing your current expectations...
Don't give up, keep going. You're doing just fine.
Cheers, Paul

It's good to see a B3 get some love. They were getting closer to the front of the grid and then the 312T got them there.

Pictures show the front upper rocking arm, that was scratcbuild from styrene sheet. I'm going to make a silicon form and cast in resin.
Next step is the construction of the water coolers. The original resin cast coolers are surrounded by 0,2 mm alu sheet.

The first build cockpit bridge was too high, so height was reduced for 2mm. That made a new alu construction necessary.
