Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 B3 1974 MG Model Plus
Before I go go on working at the motor, I will construct the exhaust system.
The exhausts in the kit are a fantasy product and do not represent the 312 B3 system. The Tamiya 312 T's are different and not usable. That forces to a scratch build system.
I used this technique years before when I build the 312 B2 71and 72.
I didn't find a really soft wire that's easy to bend in narrow radius without leaving kinking or imprints. Electric cable from 3,2 mm diameter represents the the diameter in 1/12, but the copper wire (1,7 mm) is not enough flexible. So I pulled the wire out of the insulation and put a smaller 1,4 mm wire from a thinner cable in. Now it is enough flexible to bend it by my fingers or pliers and it keeps the shape making the silicon form. the motor was fixed on a rack with each 3 holes on each site to fix the rear exhausts.Sorry for the small photos, my camera had a incorrect setting and I had to reduce the files. Was a little bit too much. Exhausts are now embed in plasticine to make the silicon moulds.

Here are the new resin cast exhausts:
You can adjust the resin exhaust a little bit by warming in hot water for the final shape.Re: 1/12 Ferrari 312 B3 1974 MG Model Plus
Looks like your using a pro casting machine which also can cast white metal depending on the picture from the outer Mold casting ring with it`s pins.
Also the inner casting ring looks like a center casting machine, right?
BTT A fiddly job those exaust pipes! Looking good!

Resin cast exhausts are cleaned and got their final shape by heating and carefully bending. I'm happy with the result so far comparing it with the terrible kit exhausts.

Hi. Ferrarissimus. It's a really big job you do. I also intend to cover my models with a thin sheet, what do you think is the most suitable glue? Thank you and I watch with great interest.

Keep going! I love your work. The production of the exhaust looks real consuming and the results are worth it.
I am not fully familiar with the casting process using plasticine (is this plaster?). is this just a base to start from, then make first one silicone on top of it, flip it and make the second silicone mold to "replace" the plasticine?

I use CA glue for the smaller sheets and 2 components epoxy glue 2minutes from UHU.

You are right another word for plasticine in english is molding clay.
