Re: Model Factory Hiro, Toleman TG 184, 1/12
And now for the task I was a little afraid of. Mating the two monocoque halves and working on the outside...
Some masking was done from the inside. Glued the two halves together but needed some force because the upper halve was extremeley bent.
Masking, sanding, painting...in progress.
TADA..decals are on. I also made a little "edge" from plastic card that runs along the outside.
I didn' use the MFH decasl becasue I wanted some finer weave and divverent textures.
Pretty much done on the monocoque. I covered the decals with some Alclad "light sheen" (brilliant stuff) mixed with some orange/smoke to give the CF a light yellowish sheen. It also adds a little contrast to the black inlays. The alu tape on the rear is also selfmade. I wanted to look a little "rougher", improvised like on the real car.
Next will be the exhaust/turbo setup. As you can see there is no logic in my build-progress. I jump from part to part
The tubo is again molded in a strange way. Can't explain becasue my english is weak
I grinded off one part that should belong to the exhaust, next pic will explain.
Here you can see the new plate in plasticard that I just grinded away. This way it's easier and better to paint becasue finishes on the tubo and exhaust will be different. You can also see some generic Acustion PE (suspension parts)
...and I added some weldlines.

Strange, they are embedded into the text and are available on my own server. Try this direct link...if this works I think your browsers blocks imagelinks in a way !?!acer709 wrote:Dan,

Your site does not seem to use https - I had the same comments on my latest pictures, it seems some recent browser updates partially block non-https resources (e.g. if images from an http server are shown on an https site, as it's the case here) so I think to avoid that in the future you might need to get a https certificate for your site.

It looks as if you are hosting at IONOS, they include a free basic certificate which is good enough for private webistes with their hosting packages.I guess I have no idea how to do this
They explain here how to install it: https://www.ionos.de/hilfe/ssl-zertifik ... -wildcard/
and at the bottom how to switch you site to https.
