Yes, I also know the pictures, thanks anyway. :)
The problem here is that this is already the FW09B (changed rear suspension, turbo connection, control units,... and one more thing).
So I don't know whether the brake is already different here.
And besides, the pictures aren't that great either.

I want to recreate the brake system, but therefore I need good pictures.

Currently I have recreated the parts from the kit, but more the AP Lockheed from the FW07 / 08 than from the FW09.

There is only one picture of the rear brake and you will probably recognize it

I think I have it, it's the same brake as the Tyrrell 012. Igor gave me the tip and was able to help me with a source for more images.

Here are two pictures of the Tyrrell 012 from a known source:

Thanks Rado for the pictures, these are new for me :D
I think this are the same like on the Tyrrell.

I made a first construction and printing test today. Not all was fine but but I am optimistic and think I can show some pictures soon...

So that's the finished brakes, or the discs, hubs and calipers.
Maybe not perfect, but I'm actually satisfied.

I also made the air ducts. The ones from the FW07 are not hollow inside, but simply made of one piece. Not particularly nice.

Image Image

So now it's time to re-drill holes, unfortunately there is no other way with 0.2-0.3mm, that is more or less the limit with my 3D printer.

Image Image Image

Above I will use the bleed nipple from Top Studio, the brake pad clip will be a 0.2mm wire and the brake line below and on the side will be 0.3mm wire.
Let's see what exactly I take for a color, I'm still unsure ... I'm open to tips :D

I am deeply impressed how many extra details you put in this car with your 3D printer!

Thanks Steffen!
The Kawai set is just too simple to use in original.
And some parts of the FW07 / 11 cannot be used, since these two vehicles were also used kits or, better said, finished models.
Therefore, not all parts remained intact after the dismantling and I have to make new parts anyway.

And then I don't just want to assemble something, if I try to stick to the original as much as possible and the printer helps you a lot with such parts! :D

IIt's been some time since I wrote something here... Just laziness but of course I want to bring you up to speed.

The last construction site was the brakes. I want to continue here too.
Everything is painted so far. The saddles got bleed bipple screws, lower brake lines and the clamp for the brake pads.
What still needs to be done are the decals of the temperature sensors.

Image Image Image Image

I didn't do much on the brake discs, just did a little weathering. I will put the colored heat paint markings on the edge when everything is installed.

Then I painted some additional components like the brackets and the ventilation. Here I am still considering whether I should put on carbon - but I am not 100% sure. The picture with the brake ventilation also shows the comparison kit / 3D print.

Image Image Image

Another thing that I have pushed forward is the engine - gearbox - rear suspension.

Here I had to adjust and repair various things. I use the rear suspension from the FW07, unfortunately I did not get it dismantled without damage and I had to repair the wishbones. I also had to fill in a few things anyway. Deep sink marks !!! But nothing is impossible. 8)
I also had to think about how I could get a combination of the wheel nuts of the FW11 and the rear wheel mounts of the FW07. Therefore I shortened the nuts and created a possibility to slide on the rim via a brass connection and a central bore and still use the nut - dismantling is possible and an exhibition without rims would also be possible.

Image Image

Then I made new ignition distributors, the ones from the kit weren't too detailed for me.

And then I still had to remove the paint from all parts.
Of course, I also lost one of the two ignition coils for the ECU or, better yet, disposed of it somewhere along the drain when I washed it up! I'll spare you the swearing afterwards.
But none of that helps.  So I had to do something here ... design and reprint something again. I used this right away and loosened the screws and created them individually, it can simply be painted better and put together later.

Image Image

Since the throttle cable can be seen very exposed on the side, I also made an additional part here so that the Bowden cable can be attached later.

Image

I also prepared the injection. This will run above the cylinder heads and will later be connected to the hoses.

Image

On the engine block itself, I first tested the texture paint from ZP. I think it doesn't look bad.

Image Image

And the painting of the previously stripped parts.
I improved the rear brake ventilation a bit and closed it. These were open at the bottom, which of course wasn't correct. The upper ball joints of the rear suspension also had to be adjusted a bit. I widened the slot for the shock absorbers a bit so I can properly attach the stabilizer. The shock absorbers will now be installed via a new hole and brass pin.

Image Image Image Image

The cylinder heads were of course also painted. Bolts "attached" and the new parts installed - ignition distributor, engine mount to rear suspension and on the left an additional filter. Then I tried to apply the HONDA lettering as well as possible and used the cables in beautiful white.

Image Image Image Image

I installed the gearbox and the oil tank. A little weathering and that's it... :D I'm thinking about adding a few screws later. But I'm not quite sure about this yet.

Image Image Image

The repaired rear suspension was also painted.

Image Image Image Image

The two ignition coils were wired.

Image

So that's basically all for now. A few things are still in preparation, but more on that later...
