Post by Hein »

Hi guys, for a few weeks i'm working on a (Wolf models) B194. Building time went fast and i did not post anything of my build at F1M yet. So here is a quick overview of what i did until now. :)

Thanks for looking,

Hein

Reminds me how I tried to build the Revell Benetton B194. Being my first real try on a modelkit, I did everything wrong I could. :D

Your Benetton looks perfect to me and that 5 colour paintjob must have made a serious amount of work!

When I came down to the 3rd picture of your second post, I thought it is a B195.

Looks good.
I'm wondering which different shades of blue did you use?

Looks great!

I would NOT want to have to mask that, a nightmare! You've made a really, REALLY good job of it!

Thanks for all the nice words!! :D
Masking was quit a challenge and to be honest here and there some major touch ups were needed.. Also a pain in the **s were the white lines wich i cut from the dark blue area decals (they incl the white line). The decals in general where thick stiff and very brittle. They tended to crack when cut. So some decals ended up not 100%.. But overal i'm happy with the result. And after clear coat it wil be fine i guess.

I used Zero FW14b blue for the dark blue, Zero B192 green, Tamiya X14 for the mid blue and a mix of tamiya white and X14 for the light blue.

Thanks and will be continued.
