Re: Leyton House CG 901B
I finally got the remaining decals on the rear wing, and got the wing assembled, with some difficulty. I was expecting it to be problematic, but it took me three tries, with three different types of glue before I got it to hold together. Anyway, there were some spots that needed touch-up, as you can see in the first three photos:

After touching up with semi-gloss black, I masked the outer end plates and shot a coat of clear gloss over the rest of the wing. The results turned out decent.

At any rate, I'm declaring it done, and will be gluing it to the chassis as soon as I get to it.

Re: Leyton House CG 901B
Hi Larry,
What glue did you use to glue the wing pieces to the side plate? It looks there are some white marks around the wings.
I find it a challenge to build rear wings. If I glue the assembly first, it is difficult to place the decal on the side plates. If decal is put on the side plates first, it is very risky to glue the wing pieces to the side plates. I use solvent glue to glue the wing pieces after I put the decals on the side plates. There are some decal area being melted around the wing ends.
Anyone has good suggestions?

Re: Leyton House CG 901B
CK, I definitely had issues getting the rear wing together. I did all the painting of the parts separately, then applied most of the decals. The top wing element broke while I was applying the carbon fiber decals, and I tried gluing it back together at least two or three times, but it was very fragile and kept breaking, so I gave up. I had the carbon fiber decals applied to the top surfaces, but decided to wait to put the lower ones on until after I got the wing assembled. I put on the other decals on the top surface of the top wing element (the BP and Leyton House decals), and added the FIAM decals to the inside of the end plates. I tried using 5-minute epoxy to glue the pieces together, but it started to set up too fast, so I cleaned it off. Then I tried some gel superglue, which seemed to work OK. I then applied the carbon fiber decals to the underside of the top wing elements, and while heating it with a hair dryer to get them to settle down, the wing came apart again! This time I scraped off the mating surfaces very carefully, and glued it back together with Tamiya extra thin cement. Yes, there were some exposed areas around the joints that didn't look too good, but after everything dried, I touched them up with semi-gloss black. Then I masked the outer surfaces of the end plates with Parafilm and sprayed the inner end plates and all wing elements with gloss clear. That's what you see in the final pics.
In the future, I think what I will do is try to paint and decal all the pieces first, being extra careful not to break anything, then clean the mating surfaces carefully and assemble it with regular liquid cement applied sparingly. I'm certainly open to comments and suggestions from other builders who may have some better ideas.

Re: Leyton House CG 901B
I realized that I failed to notice that a small windshield was supposed to be installed. There was a template in the instructions with the actual size outline, so I copied it and cut a piece out of some thin clear packaging plastic. I bent it to the correct shape and glued it (with some difficulty) to the edges of the cockpit. Then I decided it didn't look right with the edge of the cockpit visible on the inside of the windshield along the bottom, so I made a couple of thin strips of matte aluminum bare metal foil and stuck them on. That looked better, but the addition of some 0.5mm photoetch screw heads added the finishing touch.

Nice attention to detail, these "little" things can really elevate the model
