Re: WIP - Larrousse LC90
It has been awhile since I last worked on the model. I had some very busy work weeks before Christmas.
Here are some photos that I have taken before Christmas. The oil cooler has been completed with the pipes and the cable ties. The cable ties are from a black plastic bag adhered with metal foil glue and black polyurethane glue. The pipe are from hex rods and wire wrap wires. The cover on the engine with spark plug wires. Hope that I can finish the work on the engine during the Christmas break.

Re: WIP - Larrousse LC90
During the Christmas and New Year break, I finally finished all the work on the engine.
There are couple of items that I fabricated. The throttle linkage was constructed from 0.01" plastic sheet and 0.015" plastic rod. The scale of the ruler is in mm.
I also fabricated the fuel delivery system. It is in metallic blue. The exhaust sensors are also added to both sides of the exhaust pipes.
The kit's radiators are without any pipes to link to the engine. They are just dangling in the side-pods. Pipes were fabricated. There is a separate cylinder attached to the right side radiator. The kit part is molded on with a half circular shape only. It was cut off (left of the photo) and a new part fabricated with pipes and pipe clamps.
The fuel input and lines were added to the fuel tank. The original ones were molded on the surface.
Next job is to paint the floor and install the engine and radiators onto the floor.

Re: WIP - Larrousse LC90
Thank you everyone for the kind words.
I am using this project to test what can be done without a 3D printer. I think the ultimate path will still be a 3D printing as it can provide a better accuracy. It may not save time as I have to learn the program and characteristics and limitations of 3D printing.
Anyway, I always enjoy scratch building.

Re: WIP - Larrousse LC90
Thank you!
I am trying to find time to paint the floor so that I can install the engine.
I am running into a problem with the rear wing. It will be difficult to paint it. I'm pondering to paint the black end plate first or the wings first. Either way, I have to do masking.
Next time I will paint all the wing pieces and end plates before assembling them.

Re: WIP - Larrousse LC90
I have to be clear. Some of the engine details are reference to the LC89B, which is very close to the LC90. Since I can't fine much of the engine details for LC90 from the internet, it is good enough for me. At least people can't proof that I am wrong .
