Re: MFH 1/12 Ferrari 315S/335S
Well, I'm still working on this, Moving at a snails pace though. I got the chassis and motor together and finished the wiring on the motor. There was not enough wire in the kit so I had to source some from the spares bin. I really struggled with the wiring, there are a lot of wires on this V12 with 2 plugs per cylinder and I don't think I got them to lay right just yet.
I'm working on adding the other chassis bits and pieces and painting up the exhaust headers and getting them fitted.
This kit has been more challenging than the last MFH kit I did but that makes it interesting.
Couldn't help but look at whats to come.
Thanks,

Coming along nicely. So much so, that I'm tempted to add this kit to my wanted list.
Looking forward to see you splash some paint on this baby. Which version are you going to build?

Great build so far. I see what you say about the plug wires. What material did you use? Maybe a smaller diameter would be easier to work with.

Thanks for the nice comments. I used the wire from the kit for the plug wires but there wasn't enough so I had some very similar wire to finish it. I still have to add the 4 coil wires.
These kits are just tremendous, working on them you are so close to every detail as you assemble the various components, once the components are put together there is so much detail you almost can't take it all in and it gets lost a little. but it is very interesting and time consuming.
Its been a couple weeks since I last posted anything, I.ve completed the front assembly, including the radiator and the rest of the front suspension. I'm beginning to clean up the body parts to get the doors, hood and trunk to fit, no small task. Aside from building the motor, the body and paint job is my favorite part of modeling. its always a challenge to get the paint just right.
I'm building version "C" the Mille Miglia winner.
onward!
