One of my favorite cars and favorite drivers. I saw Ronnie race at the '73 USGP where he won with Lotus, sad day though because of Cevert and Stewart the day before. Hunt gave him all he could in the Hesketh and finished 2nd. I was 7. I got Ronnie's autograph then at the '77 Watkins Glen 6 hours when he was driving the McLaren BMW 320 Turbo with D. Hobbs. He was almost as fast as the Porsche of Ickx and Mass, but spun through catch fencing trying to keep up and that ended the day early. I also got to see him drive the 6 wheel Tyrrell with the different body work at Long Beach in April. What an awesome driver. So fast. Always qualified somewhere near the front if not on pole. So sad to see him depart us when he came back to Lotus and was so dominant with Andretti in '78 the whole season then crashed in the backup Lotus 78. He could have survived that, but blood clots cut him short from the surgery to his awful leg injuries.

Beautiful model. Definitely some passion in that one, don't stop.
