[quote="sky1911"But as it is 1/20, I guess the outsized "motorized" DFV engine wasn't an issue.[/quote]

I think that Tamiya gave up on the motorised 1/20 F1 cars very quickly. None of the P34 kits I have seen have had one. They all had the "scale engine"
One of my Lotus 78 was motorised and one day I will replace that build.

Great to see a build restarted. Had some on mine for 5+ years in the making and counting ...

Works that way for me. I just have to artificially limit number of project going in parallel. Used to be up to 5. At present it is 0, though.

This one:

Looking for pictures under the driver cowling and under the nose. Also trying to figure out if the side pods are removable independent of each other or if they are connected as one like the early 1977 car with one piece body.

Do you have all the pics from Project34 webside?
I think the sidepods can be removed seperatly but not sure as there is not much around about this car, still have the 76 MFH book and a lot of unsorted pics, very hard to tell as there have been many differences about the front end.

Edit: By the way, the 15 engines in a row looking impressive! :)
Take a stand!

Oh! this amazing and completely bonkers project of building 34 P34s is still alive?? :D
When this was launched, the Fujimi models were not available yet, but as they are now, will you change the MFH models to using the Fujimi bodywork?
It would probably make your life a bit easier...

Here is another mad idea; A P34 with the Renault turbo engine it was supposed to have ;)

(edit: doh, sorry for bringing this to the top. I saw the resurrected drill-bit thread, and did not check the dates. )
Currently building:
Alfa Romeo 159 (since 2021)
Recently finished:
Renault R30 (since 2010)

Interestingly, Depailler's 1976 Japanese GP car had a longer wheelbase than Scheckter's. I'm not sure if that's the only race with this difference.
