Hobby Search Question

Post by PJE »

I’m looking for an alternative to Hobby Link Japan and I’m wondering if anyone in the USA has used Hobby Search. I haven’t created an account yet and I would appreciate any feedback before doing so. One thing that puzzles me is stock. I can’t tell if they have an item in stock. How is their shipping compared to HLJ, etc?

I have an account with Hobby Search and I like it. There are buttons to click on next to the products labeled: "Reserve": Preorder, "Cart": In Stock, "Back-order" and "Sold Out." I never had a problem buying with Hobby Search and compare prices with HLJ before placing orders. Shipping from Japan is currently expensive so I check for promotions offered like discounts on products or shipping.

Way better than HLJ, anymore......except for Tamiya kits, for some reason. Buy with confidence.

I've used Hobby Search as well as Hobby Easy - I like Hobby Easy a little better. https://www.hobbyeasy.com//

He is asking for Hobbysearch which is a different shop then Hobbyeasy ;)

Hobbyeasy is another good option to go, still bought a lot of stuff there and they have pretty nice shipping costs in comparsion to some japan shops.
Take a stand!

I have bought things from Hobby Search before pandemic. Their service is very good. There should not be much difference between shipping to Canada and the USA.

They can't sell Tamiya products for oversea customers anymore. I think it is a legal issue. With Japan Post not available for most places, shipping is very expensive.

Can you explain why Michael? I have used Hobby Easy in the past, but the site doesn’t look quite as user friendly, on my pad, as Hobby Search.
