Drive to Survive-Nikita Mazepin

Post by PeteJ »

Just finished watching episode 3 and I am pretty sure that Haas is glad he and his father are gone. He came across as a spoiled little rich kid, blaming everything but himself for poor driving and Daddy joined in. My guess is that Gunther will think twice before taking money when the owners little boy is attached.

But I think it's also exaggerated a lot to make it more exciting for TV. I always think of the statements made by Perez and Verstappen. The latter did not take part in 2021 either. And I have to say I can understand both now that I've seen it in its entirety.

I suspect after today HAAS is thrilled to be rid of that Soviet boat anchor.

Drive to Survive does go too far at times, and a lot of what it shows is not true, but in regards to Mazepin, I think there is probably even more going on than was shown:
https://www.irishtimes.com/business/man ... -1.4826437
The plaintiffs – Trafalgar Developments, Instantania Holdings, Kamara and Bairiki Inc – claim they were subjected to part of an internationally recognised phenomenon known as “raider attacks”, involving a so-called raider acquiring a minority shareholding in a target company before taking allegedly illegal steps to ultimately wrest control of it. It is claimed Mr Mazepin led, and was the main beneficiary of, the alleged scheme.
