Another one to say that Derek is great to deal with, mine arrived this morning (UK) with no problems and shipping was IMHO very reasonable.
I just missed out on the FW12s in the second batch, otherwise I would have grown my collection even more!

If you don't mind me asking, what were customs charges like from USA to UK. I haven't bought anything from the states in a while. No problem if you don't want to discuss it tho.
Thanks.

Everything went well with me too!
Simply amazing... Everything is super packaged and in amazing conditions.
I can only repeat it over and over again, with Derek consideration and friendship between model builders is simply upheld. :)

The communication was and is always great.
Sorry for my many disturbances over and over again Derek ;)

Great seller and I'd definitely buy from Derek again.
Greetings Thomas

I recieved my kit in great condition with no problems.

For those who aren't aware: Postal Services around the globe are at the mercy of commercial airlines to move their mail. Commercial airlines are at the mercy of whichever country says they can or cannot fly to them. Conversly, shippers like UPS, DHL, Fed Ex and maybe Amazon, have their own airlines to move their shipments around, but still are at the mercy of the countries allowing flights in. It's my understanding that, up until last week, Australia and New Zealand were still ultra strict with anything coming into their countries and that, even had Derek been able to send something to those countries "first class", more than likely, it would have been returned to him. Sadly, this is the world we live in because some douche had to eat him some bat......or some such nonsense. I have only been able to get things from Japan via DHL....which is rather expensive. On the up side: they do show up quickly, but it is what it is.

Cost of postage is contingent upon the weight of the package. That is kind of a hard question to answer or to get a good perspective on unless you know how many kits or the weight of the package.

One kit is round about 2-3 LBS packed and ready to ship. As an example, with USPS it doesn't matter if the package is 1.1 or 1.9 LBS you pay for 2 LBS. Anything over 1 LBS and your weight is graduated to the next higher LBS. So 1.5 is sold as 2 LBS and 2.5 is sold as 3 LBS and so on.

So for a 2LBS package, the cost is $79.10 USD
For a 3LBS package, the cost is $85.70 USD

This is express mail delivery which is the only delivery type that the Australian post is accepting from the USA it this time.

And if the parcel is over certain dimensions, an "oversize surcharge" could be added to the cost.
