Re: 1/12 MFH December
Ferrari 125 S or the F1 version of it? First actual Ferrari (and using the Colombo engine)
Cheers,
Roman

Re: 1/12 MFH December
The gubbins on the dashboard, the general layout (RHD, two small gauges left of the steering wheel followed by a larger gauge (RPM) and some smaller gauges again and of course the two coil like thingamalings (whatever they are). Latest picture is the mount of the mirror seen from above facing the the bonnet. All of these point to this being the Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta (Touring?) chassis 0008M (engine 0006M). The car that won the 1949 Mille Miglia being driven by Clemente Biondetti and Ettore Salani. Later that same year, this very car won the 24 hours at Le Mans being driven by Luigi Chinetti and Lord Peter Selsdon. So I guess those are the 2 versions that initally were announced.

I have to say I always loved the early cars. 166MM, 212, etc. just the red doesn't work for me. I remember an article in the then still "Ferrari World" title magazine covering a darkblue / green car. WOW. Together with some of the other "recent" Ferraris (315/335, 250 TR) I'd put on them on the "would like to have" list, but they are not must haves - unlike the 512S/M

Re: 1/12 MFH December
MFH have already done the 166MM 1949 Le Mans winner in 1/24 scale # K-040 released in 2003 so it would be easy enough for them to scale it up to 1/12.

Wow it is a 166!! Great news. The 125 would have been a sleeper.
