A Public Thankyou

Post by Paul_OFarrell »

Hi All,

I'd like to offer my sincerest thanks to Kars Jans.

After posting repeated Wanted threads in this Forum over several years regarding an AMC Models Minardi M189, Kars gave me the tip off that this kit had become available on the Japanese Buyee website.

As Buyee does not cater for overseas bids, a quick chat with a Japanese friend had him placing a bid on my behalf.

To cut a long story short, I am happy to say that the kit arrived in Oz this morning.

The kit is still in excellent condition. Decals and tyres are perfect, as are the resin and whitemetal castings.

Without Kars's help I would still be battling to find this kit. I am endebted to you Kars, thank you so much.

Cheers, Paul
Sydney, Oz

Good to see you finally got hold of this one Paul. I've dealt with Kars before too, he is a good guy :)

PS If you want, you can join Buyee yourself as an overseas customer - they are a 3rd party that enables overseas customers to purchase items from Yahoo Japan, Rakuten, etc, from sellers who don't want to deal directly with overseas buyers. The seller will send the item to the Buyee warehouse in Japan, who then on-send it to you for a fee. I've purchased a few items from Japan via Buyee in that way. Then again, if you have a local friend there, who needs Buyee :)

I've used it a few times, the only problem I ran into was shipping rates were a bit crazy, and they wouldn't combine items into a single shipment. Thought I got a deal on a Revell MP4/20, shipping was the same price as the item!
