Thank you Vekkuli. Yes, I have three GPA helmets. All three of them acquired through James B. He bid on them for me from French eBay. Most would only ship to the EU so I could not bid. James is my Sniper. :D :D I have two of the SJ helmets or 'Bottom Opening" as you say. Those are earmarked for Gilles and Didier. I also have one that uses a chin strap and that one is for Depailler.

Wonderful job and happy of having been of help.
And as I have followed the process from a short distance (well apart of the Atlantic and the whole US width in between   ) Ican give testimony of the care, dedication and passion Derek has put into this.
Result is great and I am still amazed about the Stewart one. 8)
Thank you JB, I couldn't have completed my Niki helmet without your dedication to the "art director"

Alex.
Thank You Alex!! Mostly I have you to blame for this because it was you who first showed your helmets here at F1M and that is what gave me the inspiration to do my own :D :D

Jeff, you'll like this: I tried to convince Derek about the convenience of devoting one of the BELLs to a certain AJ... I couldn't, but maybe someone else will do it! 8)

Derek, congratulations on such a fantastic result with these helmets. JYS is my favourite due to the amount of care that must have gone into it but Marios lid, in particular, is stunning too.

I had missed that. As I suspected that the picture was from Austria I had to look into this. I noticed that the polar bear moved around much throughout the year. In some races there were a completely different decal.
I wondered how I could have missed this but then it dawned to me. I had only looked at pictures from the 1977 season as there were an Elf sticker on the helmet and that year the polar bear stood still. 1978 it started to move. Even on the right side of the helmet.
I'm glad that you showed this picture as I would probably got it wrong on my next Ronnie build otherwise.
